Don't buy the reality. If you want to realize the dream of this spectacular vehicle, the best thing to do would be buy one from a long time TT.netter. That way you know someone has taken care of all the important issues and its running right and strong. I made the mistake of buying a pretty beat car, thinking "hey i can do anything". I got the car in great shape, at extreme expense of time, money, and sanity. Worse yet, I missed the "honeymoon" phase with the car... it was all in pieces starting on the 6th day of ownership, then when it was finally together again, some of that excitement was gone. I bought my car early June 2005. Last night was the first time I have ever heard it run smoothly. Imagine all that plus rooting out electrical problems from a flood car. Do yourself a favor and let this one go... It's like meeting your childhood hero and finding out hes a coked out jerk.
